Summer 2017: By the Numbers

Here’s the 2017 Summer trip by the numbers: 54 days, thirteen cities, thirteen airports, two ferries, three islands, one new mountain range, five new countries, two train rides, and two times across the Atlantic. 16,765 miles (26,980 km) flown. 791 miles (1,273 km) by rail. 

Airports Visited: Salt Lake City, John F. Kennedy (NYC), Gardemoen (Oslo), Bergen, Berlin Schönefeld, Berlin Tegel, FCO (Rome), Santorini, Athens (three times), Corfu, Tbilisi, Vienna, CDG (Paris) 

Airlines Flown: Delta, Norwegian, Lufthansa, Austrian, Aegean, Blue, Air France 

Ferries Ridden: Seajet, Blue Star 

Countries Visited: Norway, Germany, Italy, Greece, Georgia, Austria, and France 

Cities Visited: New York City, Oslo, Bergen, Berlin, Rome, Oia, Thira, Naxos, Athens, Corfu Town, Tbilisi, Stepantsminda, Vienna, and Paris 

Bodies of Water Swum: Aegean Sea, Adriatic Sea

Train Stations Stopped/Transferred In: Berlin, Oslo, Bergen, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, Paris

City Metros Used: New York, Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Athens, Rome
