Here’s what this site is for (and though some of it is linked here, some is linked in the menus above):
- The number one reason I have this website now is as a professional page for my teaching and gamification efforts. Check the links above for teaching memos, in particular.
- Personal Learning Coaching & Consultation: This is a hub for me to post short essays that might help you help you or your student find effective habits while learning under diverse and challenging conditions surrounding COVID-19 or in another independent learning context. It’s also a way for me to lay out how I might be able to advise you and your student to help everyone to find success.
- Travel writing. Travel is my most favorite leisure/working vacation activity.
- Philosophical writing from my graduate-school days, which were completed back in 2013.
Please visit the About Me page to learn about me and the Site Policies page to learn about my practices in administering this site and a bit about who I am.
Thanks for visiting!
Steve

PS: A lot of the graphic art – whether well-applied or badly applied here – is thanks to the dedicated efforts of a talented artist, Nick Jenkins, of California. Let me know if you want to get in touch with him. I’m always happy to send a commission his way. He does very good work.
Great!
where can i find stuff about the berlin wall?
Look at the pulldown menu above, or click here: http://philosophygetsreal.com/travel-posts/
These posts are about my time in Europe in the last couple of years – quite a bit is about the wall.
July 19-28 of 2014 and (not so much about the wall) the few posts from Berlin in 2015 will have some things you may find interesting!
We need more philo blogs in the world! 🙂

Looks like you had a great trip. Sophia was thrilled to get your postcard. We heard there have been some changes. She still wants to get you your book. What’s the best way?
